There's a bizarre thing happening in main where in multiplayer survival your console floods with "Can't find entity spawn spot messages" seemingly at random times and the fps drops very low and zombies appear walking in the air with very large hitboxes. You can fire nowhere near them and they die. It's as weird as it sounds, and I wonder if it's only happening to me? are there any "playerstart 0"'s ??

If you mean yaw, no. If you mean a neutral spawn, there are 15.

You can fire nowhere near them and they die. It's as weird as it sounds, and I wonder if it's only happening to me? The problem is that something is calling "entinmap()" which is then failing. This function does a loop a up to 100 times (explains the slow FPS), and at failure prints "can't find entity spawn spot!...". I couldn't find out what was causing the glitch, so I added debugging variables to the end of the warning message (next release). If this happens to you again all you have to do is copy the output of your console and post it here (only the "can't find entity..." lines are necessary).

Donnelly your using 1.0.1 correct? I have most of 1.0.2 with will include the improvements Void has plus I added the rest of the sounds, fixed some hug gun models, I also added new flags with RR logo and made other various improvements.

I got 1.01 in the updater a few days ago. It works well except for I have to change the download's name to download.exe.

Yes, Void worked on it and says its fixed for 1.0.2 so once I upload it I'll test it and let you know. It will be out before the 31st that will be the starting point for game launch. We have added a build number in the bottom left hand corner of the game when the game first loads to the main menu. That way if people have issues we can assist better knowing the build that they are using. I will also update the games main download on sourceforge to the newest patch as well so people downloading the game for the first time wont have to do any updates. Ed

Kinda off topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread for 1 question. Can you adjust difficulty for dmsp? The "skill" command from cube 2 dosn't work.

try level 1..4
if the code has not been modified too much that should determind the rate of speed and the rate at which harder monsters spawn (maybe even the mount 0.0 if i remember correctly 0.0)

It works. Level 4 is twice as many as level 2. I realized the buy button is broken in 1.0.1, I dunno if you fixed it yet, and it seems to try to download updates when you press it but the command is incomplete so it does nothing. You can also buy things when you don't have enough guts and it'll go negative. EDIT: Probably because I'm using the console to buy things. It never happened when we still had the gui.

it should be the same thing type /showgui GUINAME - look in menus.cfg 0.0 it should be defined there then once you get that working then you can type /bind "ANYKEY" "showgui GUINAME" that will rebind it to what ever it was, but if it dont work in the consol more likely it is actually broken

I have a lighting error in the Game, anytime I start the game it is very bright and anytime I exist the game, it gets really bright. This usually happens when the game crashes. One solution is to change gamma in-game to 100, close the game "unexpectedly" (eg from the task manager), restart, and change gamma back to the original value. In survival, usually after playing an ffa or team game, bots will kill only you, but not each other if it was team, or if it was ffa they will kill everyone. If I don't play anything beforehand than the AI works and they only kill zombies. Speaking of which, I've noticed a problem in the way survival works. It is supposed to be a competition to see who can kill the most zombies, and death means having to wait until next round. I think there will be a problem with tking later because some people would prefer the -1 penalty than having that person alive for the round. See what I mean? Kind of against the spirit of the game, and I wouldn't do it, but there are many tryhards in the world. I have fixed the bot issue. The problem was new teams were assigned on the server but not the client, so the server sees them as friends, but the game sees them as enemies.

The Alan Harris and Kosse Bot models especially, though Captain Jones as well have issues with some weapons. When you have a grenade launcher you do a chainsaw animation constantly and a jumping animation with their arms when you fire. Something similar happens with healers and mortars when you have them out. The funniest of all is if you jump off a building while firing a pistol. I think this is because the player models still have 7 attack animations even though there are more weapons now, but I'm just guessing. Not glitches but there is a lot of modelling to be done. I gave the flamer an animation just by adding md3anim "gun shoot" 0 15 30 to the hands part of the cfg, since it uses the same hands as other vweps. If I ever get around to learning blender than I would help but I've only ever done static models in Wings 3d.

Good idea with the bullet points. I crammed a lot of random information into that post. Wings3d is really good for making static models. I made a sci-fi tank in it once to put on a map but I had issues making it into an md3. I would do more modelling if I could make a decent UV map also.
